Get To Know Us
Hello ! We are the Padilla’s. I’m Jessica (37) , my husband Frank (43) , Sophia (8) & Nathan (5) . We are a full time RV family from Ogden, UT. Our family also consists of a 180lb Bullmastiff named Brahma (4) & a 10 lb Chihuahua Mix puppy named Morticia (10m). Together we travel the country in our 36ft Keystone Hideout.
After 7 years of living in Ogden, Utah, I decided that the best plan of action for our family was to follow my husbands work. What an adventure that would be! I planned for several months how I could make this dream of mine come true. Watched several small living documentaries & started to follow other full-timing families. My husband Frank is a Journeyman Bricklayer. Frank has been in this trade for a little over 20 years and has traveled all over the USA with his company, because of his type of work he’s always traveling. So of course it was a no brainer to make this transition !
During the pandemic we decided to buy a travel trailer & truck. Craziest decision we made during the pandemic. It was so difficult to find the perfect travel trailer yet alone find one at all. They were selling off the assembly lines at the time. We lucked out and found one 2hrs away at the Twin Falls , Camping World the day before our wedding. What an adventure that was. In September of 2020 we set off on our full timing adventures not knowing what the road had in store for us. A year later I can tell you it was the best decision we have made for our family. We have traveled cross country & met many amazing peopls on our travels. Only regret is that we had not done this earlier !
Welcome to our Full Timing Blog & Travel Page.

Homeschool Program

Our Family has excelled this year with book based homeschooling. The perfect blend of home & road schooling for our kiddos. Our book based curriculum is from Seton Home Study School. Seton provides a Christ-centered, academically strong program designed for the Catholic homeschooling family in today's world.
We love the book based curriculum for our family because it allows us to plan out our days according to our travels and road schooling schedule. This book based program also gives us the freedom to travel to areas with little to no internet service, without the worries of online classes.
The program comes with all the material needed for the semester and also allows for your child to go at their own pace. The quarterly test are done at home & can be mailed in or submitted online .
Homeschool Spanish Academy
We recently added an online Spanish tutoring program for the kids and we love it. Spanish Academy is, a one on one tutoring program; that can be tailored to your schedule and needs. The program is great for any busy schedule for it allows you to pick the time and length of the class desired. The tutors are fun, patient and sweet. You will start learning and speaking Spanish after the first class! If you want to try a FREE class check out the link below & sign up . Great for all ages

Traveling with pets
There is nothing like traveling the country in an RV. Many love the freedom and benefits that come along with living and vacationing in an RV. One perk is the ability to bring along the whole family including pets. To many people the idea of bringing your beloved pets along for the ride can be daunting, but reality is, it can be done successfully with preparation.
On our first outing with our pets, Brahma our Mastiff had a hard time adjusting to the car ride & change of scenery. Brahma did not like change & disliked leaving the comfort of our home and yard. He had a hard time adjusting to the new environment & even refused to poop. Some important things we learned about traveling with our pets were:
- Go Slow & remember that traveling is brand new to your pet and might not adjust immediately. Try introducing your pet to the RV ahead of time if possible. Spending the night in it while you're at home or even a couple of hours can help your pet get comfortable.
-Decide where you will leave your pets while engaging in activities that are not pet friendly. Kennel training your pet might be a great choice. Kennels provide a safe environment for them & will keep them out of trouble while you're gone. If you feel uncomfortable leaving your pet alone for long hours, try to plan around pet friendly activities. Also, there are great sitters on the Rover app that can sit your pet while you're away.
- While traveling provide exercise and mental stimulation. Remember that while traveling your dog might not be getting the adequate amount of exercise like while they're at home in the yard. Remember your dog will likely expect the same amount of mental stimulation and exercise like when at home.
-Designate an area where your pet will travel and sleep while in the car or RV. Providing a safe and comfortable space for your pet is important. Bringing your pets bed, favorite toys and blankets will help them adjust.
RVing with your pets may seem like a hassle but truthfully most dog owners can agree that it is more fun to bring your pet on vacation or full time travel, than leaving them behind. Pets are adventurous too!
One very important tip to keep your pets safe on the road is ALWAYS, I can't stress enough how important it is to ALWAYS keep your pets on a leash. We tragically lost our terrier mix Morty at a campground in Arizona. Morty was attacked by a Pitbull that was NOT on a leash. Keeping your pets on a leash is important to keep them and your family safe. Always pick after your pets. Be polite by asking to pet some ones dog, never assume they're all friendly.
Safe travels & don't forget to bring your companion for the ride!
